My mother's day gift; I picked it out yesterday- a peach moonstone pendant! Said to be a stone of protection, gentle love, femininity and psychic abilities; it is known to help dissipate fear and worry and balance the hormones.
A very beautiful stone with the warmth of a breezy summer afternoon!

The Tyranny of Mandatory Vaccination



Recently a request was made to me that I would make available my persuasive speech on vaccinations. 
Note: I am not for nor against vaccinations. I believe there is validity on both sides. I am completely against mandatory vaccinations, and the propaganda and bullying that goes on against people that choose not to vaccinate. Hence the emphasis of the speech are on the dangers of vaccinations. 

About a year ago we had a very minor outbreak of the measles which began at Disneyland. 170 people ended up contracting the measles. This equals out to approximately 1 out of 2 million people in the state of California and 1 out of 188 million people nationwide. How did this minute outbreak turn into a nationwide debate on forcing parents to give up their right to consent? And why was the focus of the outbreak’s presumed origin- a traveling foreigner- mitigated and the turned onto our children attending school?

Right now, in California, moving at an aggressive and rapid pace, is a bill that would remove the right of parental consent to vaccinate their children. This bill was written and proposed by several California state senators, and there are currently twelve other states that are following suit.
Part of SB 277 will read as follows:

                        “This bill would eliminate the exemption from immunization based upon personal beliefs. . . This bill would require the governing board of a school district to also include in the notifications provided to parents or guardians of minor pupils at the beginning of the regular school term the immunization rates for the school in which a pupil is enrolled for each required immunization. By requiring school districts to notify parents or guardians of school immunization rates, the bill would impose a state-mandated local program.”

In light of substantial evidence, mandatory vaccination is nothing more than medical tyranny and a breach on our freedom as American citizens. Unfortunately I have witnessed the people of California, viciously pitted against each other concerning this bill, which not only saddens me, but scares me. Because as the age old saying goes, “United we stand; divided we fall.” I honestly believe that if this bill, along with the federal bill currently being enacted to force all adults to be vaccinated on a regularly scheduled basis, passes, it is going to backfire on everyone in this country. 

There are many areas of concern, more than this article can fully cover. So for now, I will briefly cover the following:
  1. Vaccines are not solely responsible for eradicating diseases
  2. Vaccines can be dangerous and lethal, and may very well be responsible for other forms of illness and disease
  3. Mandatory vaccination is unethical 
  4. Finally, I want to appeal to you to please consider taking a firm stand against SB 277

       I.  Vaccines are not solely responsible for eradication disease: 

A.    This chart taken from the Weston Price Foundation, shows us how, many diseases were already disappearing before the introduction of the vaccine. Smallpox actually escalated after the first mandatory vaccination. Typhoid Fever disappeared without a vaccination. Other factors such as sanitation, clean water, better nutrition, and improved living conditions had a far greater impact on the control and eventual eradication of disease.







II.  Vaccines can be dangerous and lethal:


Most people assume that vaccines have been thoroughly tested and studied, proving that they are safe and effective. Nothing can be farther from the truth! There is no concrete evidence that vaccines even work. Despite the enormous numbers reported of serious vaccine damage, America has never invested in controlled studies between vaccinated and unvaccinated children. To the contrary, there is ample evidence that vaccinations can be ineffective, harmful, and even deadly. The Global Vaccine Institute has documented, scientific studies linking vaccinations to several diseases and between the years 1991-2001, the Vaccine Adverse Reporting Systems (VAERS) documented 2,142 deaths, and 3,177 permanent disabilities due to vaccinations. Where is the media hysteria over these numbers?

Consider these findings:

  • According to pubmed.gov, in 2010 California experienced its highest number of pertussis cases in 60 years. There were 9000 cases, 809 hospitalizations, and 10 infant deaths, infants being under 3 months. Only 9% of the pediatric cases were unvaccinated. The rest had been full vaccinated. 
  • On April 7, 2015 Global Research News reported an outbreak of 19 cases of whooping cough in Park City Utah- all the cases were found in vaccinated children, bringing into question the given rate of 90-95% efficacy of the vaccine.  (http://www.globalresearch.ca/utah-whooping-cough-outbreak-pertussis-only-in-vaccinated-children/5441385)
  • In 2008 Dr. Roger Schlafly posted and article based on the study of smallpox epidemics in the Philippines.  He says there were three smallpox epidemics after the U.S. took over the Islands.  Prior to 1905 they did not vaccinate and smallpox mortality was about 10%. After smallpox vaccination was well started there was an epidemic in 1905-06 with a mortality range of 25-50%.  Another epidemic broke out in 1918-19, with the Philippines almost universally immunized against smallpox by vaccination, the mortality was over 65%! The highest percentage of mortality, 65.3%, was in Manila, the most thoroughly vaccinated place in the Islands; the lowest percentage of mortality, 11.4%, was in Mindanao, where, owing to religious prejudices of the inhabitants, vaccination had not been practiced as much as in most other parts of the Islands.” (figures referenced by the Philippine Medical Health Commissioner)
  • Between 1963- 1999 millions of healthy American children received live, oral polio vaccine. These children shed vaccine strained polio viruses in their body fluids, infecting other children and adults who contracted the vaccine strain polio paralysis and died, especially those with compromised immune systems. And according to MedAlerts online search engine of the federal Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) database, as of July 2012, there have been more than 24,000 adverse events reported following OPV (Polio vaccine) with 925 deaths (95% in children under age six) and 99 cases of paralysis. There have been more than 35,000 reports of adverse events associated with IPV containing vaccines with 710 deaths (95% in children under age six) and 53 cases of paralysis. Furthermore, the FDA estimates that only between 1% and 10% of serious vaccine reactions are ever reported. And out of those, most are dismissed by doctors and coincidental.
There are so many heartbreaking stories out there, if you just take time to google, “my vaccination story,” or “the dangers of vaccinations” you will find thousands upon thousands of the irreversible vaccination tragedies.

Stephen Rubin is a research computer scientist with over 45 years of experience in programming. He is also the director of vaccine research analytics for the National Vaccine Information Center. Within a testimony he gave to the State Health Committee Hearing, on April 8, 2015, he said,

"Vaccines are pharmaceutical products that injure and kill children every year. This is not an opinion, this is a fact, as evidenced by the governments own reporting system . . . parents deserve informed choice in their children’s vaccine schedules.” 

Vaccines contain many questionable and knowingly harmful ingredients such as aluminum, mercury, formaldehyde, monkey kidney tissue, inorganic salts, rabbit and chicken embryos, and even aborted fetus tissues. This brings me to my next point . . .

III. Mandatory Vaccinations is unethical- immoral, amoral, unprincipled, unscrupulous, dishonorable, dishonest, wrong, deceitful, unconscionable, unfair, fraudulent, underhanded, wicked, evil, sneaky, corrupt;

No matter how you feel about vaccinations, it remains the right of the individual to choose his path to health. John Gruelle, the creator of the famous Raggedy Ann, lost his only child to vaccinations that were given to her at school, unbeknownst to him. This happened before the right to parental consent for medical treatment came into play. We have these laws in place for a very good reason! If SB 277 and others like it are allowed to pass, the government will be able to override any common sense, gut feeling, personal beliefs you may have about the affects of vaccinations upon your health and the health of your children. They will have the power to force however many vaccinations on you they deem necessary. If you think this is a grand statement, consider the chilling words of CA senator Wieckowski from last week's SB277 judiciary committee hearing:

"The police power of the state has absolute authority to force that person (even adults) to get the vaccination....We undervalue our power--the state police power. If we believe that children are being harmed, we go into this domain of family rights, which are not absolute, and my question is: maybe we are not going far enough?"

This war is about a lot more than vaccination.

“If the state can tag, track down and force you against your will to be injected with biologicals of known and unknown toxicity today, then there will be no limits on which other freedoms the state can take away in the name of the greater good " tomorrow.” ~Senator Anderson 

The big argument for pro SB 277 is that the unvaccinated are posing danger for the spread of disease, yet they have no evidence to support this whatsoever, and instead, they evade and discredit every piece of evidence that shows how dangerous vaccines can be.  Before we begin forcing people to take vaccinations, we ought to be forcing the producers of them to have clear scientific background study and proof that they indeed are safe.
Medical tyranny has already got a strong foothold in America, especially when the media can persuade the majority of the citizens to believe the lie; they will become the bullies that push the rest of us into a corner. This is already been happening. . .




Already many professional workers can lose their jobs unless they receive the flu vaccination every year. Teachers, medical workers, fire fighters and more are being forced into taking into their bodies these risky injections.

IV.   Please join in the fight against SB 277

Up until now the California law has allowed for an exemption on immunizations for children, allowing parents to retain the freedom to investigate and make an informed decision of what they deem is best for their children. And thus far, this current exemption has not posed any threat whatsoever to the unvaccinated children in our schools, which make up only 3% of families. The fact is those that receive live virus vaccinations can and have spread the disease. They are a greater threat than any supposed assumption of a child who has not been vaccinated. Why then is there so much passionate hostility being forged against the unvaccinated? Here are a few things to consider:

A.    If SB 277 passes, you will have no more rights over your child’s health and eventually over your own body. John Gruella lost his daughter due to vaccinations being given at her school unbeknownst to him. This was before the laws of parental consent before medical treatment were enacted. Will your child become another Raggedy Ann legend some day?
B.     Many parents choose not to immunize but rather use holistic ways of living as a means to greater health for their children. Some parents opt to wait until their child is older and more developed before they begin their immunizations. This bill will take away those options.
C.  The government has seized an opportunity to dictate what can and cannot be done towards maintaining your personal health. Even if you are fully vaccinated today, if this bill gets a foothold, you are on your way to not having a choice of receiving every new vaccination the government deems necessary for there is a federal bill coming to mandate all adults to vaccine as well. There are currently over 100 new vaccinations in the making.  Do you seriously want 100 shots of disease mandated for you and your child and you have no say whatsoever in it? Even if at your gut level and from what you have observed you believe it could harm them? You would have no voice in that decision.

In the end, I have shown you that vaccines do not guarantee immunity against disease. Vaccines can be harmful and even fatal. Mandatory vaccinations are clearly unethical and I have shared the importance in getting behind the “Kill the Bill” rally for SB 277.

I do not take lightly disease and some of the horrible suffering and consequences people have experienced as a result of contracting one. But neither do I take lightly the blotched science and evaded statistics of the dangers that vaccinations pose as well. This is never a light decision. I encourage you to thoroughly investigate both sides of the equation. But more importantly, hold precious the FREEDOM TO CHOOSE your own path to health!

I would like to end this speech with another quote by Senator Anderson:

            “Industry and government have refused to fund good science to better understand the biological mechanisms for vaccine injury and death and whether there are important health differences between vaccinated and unvaccinated people; and whether increase vaccine use during the past 30 years is a major cofactor in the unexplained chronic disease and disability epidemic plaguing America. ... Eliminating non-medical vaccine exemptions, will guarantee that scientific evaluation of health outcome differences between vaccinated and unvaccinated people in America will never be done. The future of health and freedom in America is in our hands, it is in your hands; it’s your health, your choice."

Vaccination Kills Two Babies and Hospitalizes 39



Vaccinations are like playing Russian Roulette with the needle- you never know if your baby will be the next victim! INVESTIGATE BEFORE YOU VACCINATE!

Warning to Californians- 
SB 277 will tie your hands on making an informed, conscientious choice of whether or not to vaccinate your child. If the law passes, you will be FORCED to have your baby injected at least 69 times before he/she is 18. You will have NO SAY in it WHATSOEVER. Are you willing to give government that much control over your own children. 

PLEASE! Act now! There are only three more weeks before the senate votes and it appears at this point it is going to pass despite OVERWHELMING evidence by way of testimonial from many credible sources to the very real dangers in vaccinations. 

CALL YOUR SENATORS and ask them to VOTE NO on SB 277

Juice Fast, Day 3

Savory Veggie Green Juice

Add the following to your juicer- strain, stir and drink!
(Note: I use powder spirulina. I mixed it a with a little water to make a paste and then slowly add more water. Its very concentrated and green and needs to be premixed before stirring into juice at the end.)

4 large, very ripe, deep red Roma tomatoes
4 large stalks of celery
4 medium carrots
2 large kale leaves
1 2-3 inch slice of fresh fennel root with leaves and stem
1 large clove of garlic
1/2 white onion
Handful of cilantro
Stir in:
Spirulina mixture
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

You can find the Jolt Juice Recipe I made this morning here. I added a very ripe pear and a tsp of spirulina. I also added about 50% water to dilute the juice a bit. Made enough for this morning and this afternoon.

Day 2 and doing good! Going to school with water, Kombucha tea, and honey today. The Kombucha tea will add probiotics to my digestive system and the honey is in case my blood sugar drops and I feel weak or dizzy. I may have juice tonight; It depends on what my body tells me.

Super C Fruit Infused Water

One of the important strategies added to my 'Holiday Shape-Up Plan'  is drinking a pitcher a day of fruit infused water. Today I mixed up a Super C infusion to help boost the immune system and drive back the winter flues.



Ingredients:

  • 2 cutie tangerines, peeled and segmented
  • 1 lemon peeled and sliced
  • I small aloe vera leaf, washed and split in half length-ways
  • 10 drops vanilla liquid stevia

Mix in a 2-quart pitcher of water and ice and let sit for 30 minutes before drinking. You can refill 2-3 times.

Holiday Shape-Up


The holidays are here again and with it comes all the wonderful sweet and savory aromas, gifts of candies and breads, dinner parties and festivities. I believe I would like to begin my New Year's Resolution of losing weight, EARLY! Every other holiday butts ahead in line. Why not New Years? Ha! We all dread the after holiday weight gain. Why not reverse the trend to the after holiday weight loss!
What I need right now is a plan of action. Time to take advantage of my ever-growing Pinterest Board: Shape Up!

Plan of Action
Lately I have become more and more inactive and it shows. So exercise is definitely at the top of my list. Taking a few tips from Skinny Mom article on 23 top trainers tips, I decided to first;

Exercise first thing in the morning. I found some great inspiration for "Waking Up Early to Exercise" on You+Me=Fit.
I decided since I am not in really good shape and am in my late forties, I will begin my exercise with my favorite Youtube yoga coach, "Yoga With Adrien." I will shoot for a minimum of 15 minutes of yoga. Then I will do at least 15 extra minutes of exercise. I made a list to choose from: 



Next I think the other wise tips given, were to focus on feeling good, rather than on how I look, and to make sure I take time to meditate at least 10 minutes every day.

Then of course a nutrition plan will be vital. I decided to;

  • Substitute at least one meal a day with a fully raw greensmoothie.
  • Eat at least one large green salad a day
  • Eat at least one piece of fruit a day
  • Eat less
  • Take vitamins
  • Drink a pitcher of Day Apple cinnamon water , or other fruit infused water, each day
  • Take 1 Tbs Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar each day


Lastly, 
I will endeavor wherever I can to make fun, exciting, healthy holiday eating choices. When ever and wherever possible I will cut sugar and fat, substitute healthier ingredients and keep it fresh!

And that's the grand-plan. Now the trick is carrying it through . . . wish me luck!!!

Green Apple Smoothie

Starting the day off with the right ingredients!



To your Vitamix (or other high powered blender) add:

1-1/2 cups fresh baby spinach leaves
1 medium green apple cut in eighths, seeds discarded
1 stalk of celery, cut up
1 piece fresh ginger root, thumb-tip size 
1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
Stevia to taste (I added about 1 Tbs of dried stevia leaves. If you use a powder or drop you only need a tiny pinch)
1/2 cup of ice 
1 cup of water or more if needed
I scant Tbls Erin's Super Green Drink Mix (optional, but highly recommended for optimal health)

blend till smooth and enjoy!

Veggie Spring Rolls

One of my fave's for lunch- Veggie Spring Rolls. Takes an ordinary salad up a  few notches. Same ingredients, wrapped in rice paper, dipped in sweet chili sauce (I use the Trader Joes brand)



You can purchase them pre-made at most major supermarket delis, but I prefer to make my own. It really only takes 5-10 minutes tops. You just need a large leaf lettuce such as butter leaf. Then you need round rice papers. This is what I use: The packaging keeps them from breaking.


Cut up the veggies you want to put in your roll. Today I used  avocado, cucumbers  bell peppers, radishes,  cauliflower and shredded carrot. So yummy!

Joining the 14 day bikini body challenge

So tomorrow I am going to jump in with Kristina and try the 14 day fully raw bikini body challenge. Of coarse, my body definitely is in need of more than 14 days to look decent in a bikini. LOL! However, its not the bikini I am aiming for so much as the challenge to stay on a good, healthy, fully raw diet for 14 consecutive days, and to see how I feel at the end of it all.
I have not been on the scale for awhile, but tomorrow I will weigh in, and then I will weigh again at the end and see if I shed any weight. Here we go...

Flu Prevention Strategies

We are in flu season again and from all I can gather, it is hitting pretty hard. Hospitals are overcrowded and there have been a number of reported deaths due to the influenza. I thought I would share what I use in my family to help prevent the flu from spreading. This year so far, only one family member in our household has gotten the flu- my son, who is an EMT. He had it for about a week, but thankfully it did not spread to the rest of us.

Here is some of the things I save no expense at procuring during flu season:


Echinacea is by far on the top of the list for us. That is because it has been tried and proven in my household as a preventative to ward off many sicknesses that we have been exposed to, presumably due to its ability to raise the white blood cell count. Whenever we have been exposed to an illness or we hear that a flu bug is making its rounds in our area, we begin taking Echinacea for about two week intervals. It is not an herb that you would take continuously everyday. We take it for one to two weeks then quit for a couple weeks. Once flu season is over, we put the Echinacea away, only taking it if we become exposed to someone who is ill with something contagious. So far, it has seemed to really work.

Next in line would have to be Organic Apple Cidar Vinegar with the Mother. This is not your typical distilled vinegar found next to white vinegar. This is found in the health food department of your grocery store. It is somewhat cloudy in appearance.
Apple cidar vinegar's health benefits are just too numerable to even go into here so I will provide you another link here: Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar 

I personally have used it to help with my acid reflex problem that I suffered with. Sometimes after I would go to bed it was so severe that I would wake up and vomit. I learned if I took a tablespoon of the apple cider vinegar instead, my symptoms would go away. It alleviates all kinds of stomach upset and is another way to combat viruses you are exposed to. You can drink it in a tea. One that we made that was actually very healthful was:
1 Tbs. APV
1 Tbs. fresh squeazed lemon juice
honey to sweeten

Which brings me to the next item- Lemons. Most of you know that lemon are almost unparalleled in their ability to combat cold viruses. Their remedy is timeless and yet people often forget. If you have access to a tree, all the more better. Just a small hint though; Whenever you make a tea, remember to use hot water, not boiling water. Boiling water will kill the good enzymes and so much of the good vitamins and benefits you are looking to garner from the lemon.

Lastly, we always keep a supply of good old Emergen-C. This product packs a whopping 1000 mgs, of Vitamin C in each packet you drink. You simply fill a glass with water and add the packet. No stirring or anything. Very refreshing with just a hint of sweetness. My daughter drinks one of these everyday after breakfast. Each packet also has seven B vitamins which help with your energy levels, antioxidants and electrolytes. You just can't go wrong with ths. If I am feeling a slump in the day, I will sit down for a minute and drink one of these and it will pick me of for a few more hours. No caffeine, just feeding my cells with some more fuel.

Besides all these great products, its so important to take those other precautions we all know about but sometimes tend to forget or ignore; Get plenty of rest. Wash you hands often. I keep hand wipes in my car. Whenever I go into a store or public place, I clean my hands when I get back into my vehicle.

At home, I wash ALL my produce with a mild liquid dish soap and water before eating them. This includes ones that will be peeled, such as bananas- after all, they have been handle a lot too. I try to not eat sugar very often. Sugar breaks down your immune system, especially when consumed in large quantities.

One mom told me that her pediatrician advised her to have her children wash their hands and change their shirt as soon as they come home from school to prevent the spread of the flu. She said it seems to have helped.
